THE DELEGATION FROM THE SHARIA ECONOMICS STUDY PROGRAM, FEBI UIN SMH BANTEN, ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COLLABORATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES IN BANGKOK, THAILAND

To strengthen international collaboration in research and community services, a delegation from the Sharia Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI), Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University (UIN SMH) Banten, attended a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Collaborative Research and International Community Service. A Visiting Lecture followed the event. This event took place in Thailand from August 1 to 4, 2024. It was organized by the Muslim Studies Center, Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, along with the International Islamic College Bangkok (IICB) KRIRK University, Bangkok, Thailand. The event’s main goal was to enhance cross-border collaboration in various fields of research and higher education. The FEBI UIN SMH Banten delegation, consisting of three members, was led by Prof. Dr. Nihayatul Maskuroh, M.Si., Dean of FEBI, along with Elsa, S.E., M.Ak., and Asep Dadan Suganda, M.Sh.Ec., who shared insights on collaborative research projects involving various international institutions. The delegations also participated in a Visiting Lecturer session, sharing about the challenges and opportunities in developing education and research in economics and business. The FEBI UIN SMH Banten delegation was welcomed by the Director of the Muslim Studies Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr Srawut Aree, Vice President for International Affairs and Dean of International Islamic College Bangkok at KRIRK University, Prof. Dr Jaran Maluleem, immediately discussed matters related to international collaboration activities.
